The Story of Bear and Fox Photography

Hello! That's me on the right! I'm Mary Gahan the owner of Bear and Fox Photography! I am a mother, wife and Army veteran! I'm a lover of animals, nature and almost anything blue raspberry flavored!! I have been published in the Photograp.her magazine and my high-school yearbook haha! 

My love for Photography started young and not with camera's but the product of Photography, pictures. I had a real need and love for pictures growing up. My father passed away when I was very young all of 10 years old the only thing I had left was very few photos. As time went of I lost pieces of him, his laugh, his voice. Those few pictures I had were my life line when everything else about him faded from my memory. 

I love photography because it's so versatile and it truly captures time forever. Humans have always held a need to see into the past, where they came from. WHO they came from. Families have been passing down photo albums for generations and before that they passed down paintings! We all want to belong and feel connected and pictures help that. While you may be wanting to capture some snapshots in time of your little ones or maybe going to prom. Even graduating and getting engaged! Your mind may be on having pictures to post on social media or having something you can look back on in the years to come but just maybe oneday your great great grandchild will be looking at these pictures and say "wow, I have their eyes!" Or "THAT'S who gave me strawberry blonde hair when the rest of the family has dark brown hair!" (Thanks grandma Helen!) 

Maybe one day your child all grown up will ask for baby pictures as they are in a debate with their spouse on who their baby looks like more haha! This is why I became a photographer and why I want to take YOUR pictures! I know how absolutely important they are and the impact pictures can have for generations to come.
